cemex future in action

Cemex drives significant impact in circular economy

Cemex, a leading cement manufacturer in the country, has significantly contributed to sustainability by transforming waste into value. In 2023, Cemex’s Solid and Apo cement plants repurposed nearly 0.7 million tons of waste and substituted 30% of fossil fuels with alternative fuels in its kilns, reducing CO2 emissions equivalent to over 17,000 cars. By 2030, Cemex aims to increase waste management by over 50%. The launch of Regenera, a waste management initiative, helped local governments and organizations, including Manila Water, to divert waste sustainably, demonstrating Cemex’s leadership in the circular economy and climate action.

As a partner, NGP Integrated Marketing Communications is driving awareness by effectively communicating Cemex’s sustainability goals and innovations. By promoting Regenera and Cemex’s efforts in co-processing, NGP-IMC helped enhance the campaign’s visibility and impact on both public and corporate sectors, advancing the shift toward a more sustainable future.
